questions?
Good to know
What subjects do you teach?
Mathematics is the main focus, especially high-school and international-school level mathematics. Music theory support may also be possible by request.
Do you teach IB students?
Yes, support is available for students taking IB-style mathematics courses. Exact course coverage, such as AA/AI and SL/HL, should be confirmed before booking.
Do you offer in-person lessons?
Yes, in-person tutoring is planned for Zurich and the surrounding region. Online lessons are available throughout Switzerland.
How does the first lesson work?
The first session starts with the student's current material, recent tests, and goals. I identify gaps, explain key concepts, and suggest a structure for future lessons.
Can you help with exam preparation?
Yes. Lessons can focus on revision planning, past-paper style questions, error analysis, and exam technique.
Do you help with Gymnasium preparation?
Yes, Gymnasium preparation can be offered, especially for strengthening core mathematics, reasoning, and confidence. Exact requirements should be confirmed based on canton and school pathway.
How much do lessons cost?
Single lessons start from CHF 115 online or CHF 130 in person (60 minutes). Structured packages and exam preparation options are listed on the lesson options section of the homepage, with full details on each offer page.
Can lessons be booked online?
Yes. You can book a free intro call through the contact page. For lesson bookings, get in touch by email or the contact form to discuss availability and the right package.
Where do in-person lessons take place?
Lessons are available at your home, in a suitable public study space such as a library, or by arrangement at my home. In-person prices include travel within Zurich city and selected nearby suburbs.
What is your cancellation policy?
Lessons can be rescheduled free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations 24–48 hours before the lesson may incur a CHF 30 late rescheduling fee. Cancellations within 24 hours, and no-shows, may be charged in full.
Can students ask questions between lessons?
Yes. Active package students can add Priority Question Support, which allows up to 3 short question threads per week through an agreed platform. Jonatan responds within 24 hours on school days. It is designed for focused clarification, not live chat or full homework completion.
Is between-lesson support included in packages?
No, it is an optional add-on. This keeps lesson packages clear and ensures that between-lesson support remains structured and manageable.
What counts as a short question?
A short question is a focused request about one problem, step, concept, or revision decision. Longer explanations, full worksheets, or broader exam preparation should be handled in a lesson.
